LAX plan to shift northern runway causes turbulence
Persistent debate about the safety of Los Angeles International Airport's north airfield took a contentious turn Monday, when officials announced that they are studying whether to move the northernmost runway up to 400 feet toward the communities of Westchester and Playa del Rey.
